Can you imagine houses without doors and locks? Believe it or not it is 100% true still like that. Also it will be. A powerful will is ruling the town which has been proved beyond doubt that there is God a supreme power. . A small town in one of the districts of Maharasthtra, located in between Shirdi and Aurangabad.
Shingnapur, popularly called as Shani Shingnapur is the town sans doors. The powerful deity in the temple is Shani one of the planets (Saturn).
No body is after others property. They live in peace and harmony. A beautiful and lovely place to visit. Learn a lot for inner self. The powerful will is no body should put a door or window (only curtains allowed) to their house, shops etc. People there believe the leading deitys immaculate power is the cause for town to be listed in the amazing list.
It is not a very popular town. Still people do visit. If you are near the area, visit in this season. If you are far away plan accordingly.
Nearest Airports: Pune, Aurangabad. Bombay (250+ Kms)
Nearest Main Railway stations: Pune, Anagar, Nashik, Manmad.etc plz check map for detail & train timings.
Nearest pilgrimage: Shirdi 80 kms, Nashik & Dutta (Brahma, Vishnu & shiv) mandir.
Other tourist Attractions: Aurangabad where you can see an excellent hill fort, Ellora and Ajantha caves with beautiful arts of 150+ years old and many in Aurangabad. Nashik is famous for sita goofa, Kaala Ram, Godavari dip, Triambekeshwar and of course juicy seed less grapes
District: Ahmed Nagar. Maharashtra.
Note: Little interior from the main road. But well connected from Bombay as lots of tourist operated buses are plying to Shirdi via Nashik. And from Shirdi ST Buses and share taxis are also available. Plz check for Aurangabad and ANagar with the hotels.
